Phase 2 Water Restrictions

A Solution for the refilling of pools during the drought

As we are facing possible further water restrictions, may I suggest the following solutions.

1. Once the pool re surfacing is completed, and the pool is ready to fill, it would be possible to fill the pool by pumping salt water from a nearby bay or estuarine river, salt water will not affect the new Epoxy coating.
2. Salt water can be chemically treated and filtered to give the pool water a perfect appearance.
3. Salt water is softer and not as harsh on skin and eyes.

By filling the pool this way will negate phase 2 water restrictions, also there would be a saving of fresh water.

Once the pool is filled, service would return to normal operation,therefor there would no change to the amount of water use.

This is only a suggestion, the pool service company should be advised before proceeding, as there may be reasons not to use salt water.
