Works Schedule
Works are carried out in, usually, the following order.
- PUMP OUT
- Water to be pumped out one day prior to works commencing.
- BLASTING
- The entire surface to be coated should be blasted to remove offending material and to leave a good surface to accept new epoxy. NB There can be no other works carried out whilst blasting is in progress.
- NOISE POLLUTION
- It is desirable that blasting be carried out at a time of day, when noise levels will have the least effect, close neighbors should be notified.
- CLEAN AND PREPARE
- The surface must be cleaned with acid before painting can commence.
- PAINTING
- Once the surface has been successfully prepared, three (3) coats of Epoxy resin can be applied including (3) three coats of lane marking in colour of choice if required.
- COMPLETION
- After completion a period of curing time, 10 days, should take place before filling can commence.
- TIMING
- Works should be carried out within the following time frame:
- Day 1 : commence blasting, complete and clean.
- Day 2 : apply 1st coat of epoxy.
- Day 3 : apply 2nd coat of epoxy.
- Day 4 : apply 3rd coat of epoxy
- Day 5 : apply lane markings if required (3) coats, clean site and remove all rubbish, complete any detail works if required.
- Day 15: refill pool.
- WORKS COMPLETED.
