Works Schedule

Works are carried out in, usually, the following order.

PUMP OUT
Water to be pumped out one day prior to works commencing.
BLASTING
The entire surface to be coated should be blasted to remove offending material and to leave a good surface to accept new epoxy. NB There can be no other works carried out whilst blasting is in progress.
NOISE POLLUTION
It is desirable that blasting be carried out at a time of day, when noise levels will have the least effect, close neighbors should be notified.
CLEAN AND PREPARE
The surface must be cleaned with acid before painting can commence.
PAINTING
Once the surface has been successfully prepared, three (3) coats of Epoxy resin can be applied including (3) three coats of lane marking in colour of choice if required.
COMPLETION
After completion a period of curing time, 10 days, should take place before filling can commence.
TIMING
Works should be carried out within the following time frame:

  • Day 1 : commence blasting, complete and clean.
  • Day 2 : apply 1st coat of epoxy.
  • Day 3 : apply 2nd coat of epoxy.
  • Day 4 : apply 3rd coat of epoxy
  • Day 5 : apply lane markings if required (3) coats, clean site and remove all rubbish, complete any detail works if required.
  • Day 15: refill pool.
WORKS COMPLETED.
